Dr. Carlson is a board certified, highly-trained anesthesiologist and pain specialist. In 1998, he received his B.S. degree in Biology from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. He went to medical school at Oklahoma State University, also in Tulsa, which he completed in 2004. From there, he went on to Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Pheonix, AZ to complete his Internal Medicine internship. After that, he went on to do an Anesthesiology residency at the University of California Davis Medical Center, which he completed in 2008.

Following his fellowship at Texas Tech, Dr. Carlson has been a consultant and practicing pain specialist for a variety of hospitals, health centers, and medical companies throughout Arizona, including St. Jude Medical, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and Xanthus Services.

Raised splitting time between Hawaii and California, Dr. Carlson enjoys surfing and has always had a passion for travel. As a teenager he took two mission trips to Tibet, China, and has since explored numerous other locales in South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He also enjoys volunteering, and will often donate his time and medical expertise to underserved communities. He’s active in church and also enjoys golfing, hiking, snowboarding, basketball, fine dining, classic literature, and playing guitar.
